Please be patient with us as we work on converting to a virtual platform for the 2021 Brain Bee.

There will be only these two sets of study materials for BOTH local and national competitions.
All of the questions will come from these two books (check here for discrepancies between the two books):
1.  “Neuroscience: Science of the Brain”  (the introduction includes authors, etc., but will not be tested)
2.  “Brain Facts” (2018 edition)

NEW DEADLINE for registration is May 23, 2021 at 11:59 PM.

Registration is now closed.

You do not need to register separately for the local competition and the national competition. The champion of each Local Brain Bee (Friday June 4th) will automatically advance to the National competition (Saturday June 5th).

Important notes:
1. Some local Brain Bees will not participate this year. Check your Local Brain Bee page (top or right menu).
2. We will combine multiple local brain bees into regions if there are too few competitors.
3. Registration requirements: Full participation in the online competition requires camera/audio/mic (details here).
4. Instructions for using a smartphone in lieu of a computer webcam (details here).
5. Description of the tests for local and national competitions (details here updated June 2).
6. Family, friends, and teachers are welcome to observe activities on Hopin (details PDF and video updated May 24).
